The Bands

Since its birth in 1996, Solas has been loudly proclaimed as the most popular, influential, and exciting Celtic band to ever emerge from the United States. Even before the release of its first Chanachie CD, the Boston Herald trumpeted the quartet as "the first truly great Irish band to arise from America, " and the Irish Echo ranked Solas among the "most exciting bands anywhere in the world." Although Solas can play undiluted traditional Irish music as well as anyone alive or departed, they are always varying the mix of fire tested tradition and contemporary sensibility with an ease and naturalness that is as astonishing as their overwhelming musicianship.

Not in the past 30 years has a group taken the international stage with such vocal power and stage presence, capturing the essence of their genre, while standing out as something truly unique. A host of various instruments and five male vocals, using precise three-part harmonies blend perfectly for what many have described as a wall of sound. The Makem and Spain Brothers are at their best onstage where their talent and enthusiasm draw in fans who have never experienced the joy of folk music.

They have played before millions of people from Canada to Texas, from California to the Caribbean and over to Ireland, highlighting national PBS specials and popular Irish talk shows along the way.

Described as bold, unorthodox, vibrant, and evocative, the GLENGARRY BHOYS' hybrid of Canadian Highland Scots and French Canadian musical idioms has evolved into a sound that is weighty, authoritative, and extremely entertaining. Their energy and good humor, as much a part of the show as their musicianship, crosses all cultures and ages.

As Boston’s premier tribute to U2, The Joshua Tree pride themselves with their ability to generate a unique musical experience that does not lend itself to impersonations. Without compromising artistic integrity, the band has gone to great lengths to reproduce the distinct sound of one of the world’s most popular rock bands.

From her home base in tiny Prince Edward Island, Canada, fiddling sensation Cynthia MacLeod has built an international reputation that is expanding around the globe.

It's a reputation founded in raw talent, nurtured by boundless energy, and polished to a gleaming finish by a touring schedule that has taken her across Canada, through New England, and as far away as Japan. Audiences far and wide have thrilled as this tiny dynamo takes the stage for whirlwind performances that garner spring-loaded standing ovations everywhere she performs.

The Granitemen consist of Tom Lanigan from Dublin Ireland, on vocals and guitar. Geoff Roman from Detroit Michigan on violin, banjo and vocals, and Brian Bercher a native of Arkansas, on bass guitar. For the last three years they have been delighting audiences up and down the North East coast with their unique take on traditional and contemporary Irish music.

Stoneybatter Band is the newest, baddest band in town with the name everyone loves to hate. Organized in Ashland, MA. Playing wooden instruments. Smokn’ tunes. Brilliant songs. Find out why people are raving about them.

Cunla Dear is an exciting, skillful and fun blending of songs and instrumentals from celtic to american -- and everything in between!

Boys of The Town

After individually exploring various musical genres, these three friends teamed up to share a common love: Celtic-based music.
With John Ebersold on guitar and vocals, Hunter Foote on fiddle and Tim Loftus on flute, whistle and bodhrán, the Boys of the Town deliver top-shelf entertainment from high energy, toe-tapping jigs and reels to heartfelt ballads.
Their unique blend of traditional Irish tunes, original songs and favorite covers is guaranteed to leave audiences of all ages with a skip in their steps and a song in their hearts.
